• Regular physical examinations. • Blood chemistry panel (includes alkaline phosphatase , which may signify bone or liver metastases if elevated). • Chest x-rays (every 3 months) and abdominal CT scan (every 3 to 6 months). • Bone scan (and specific bone x-rays) if bone pain is present or serum alkaline phosphatase is elevated. • Selected x-rays or imaging studies for specific areas (brain CT or MRI for persistent headaches; spine MRI for back pain with leg weakness or nerve symptoms).
